Development status of plastic film

- Jan 18, 2019-

With the development of the economy and the adjustment of the rural industrial structure, the market demand for plastic film in all walks of life in China is rising.

In 2005, the total industrial output value of all plastic film production and supply enterprises nationwide reached 79,910,504,000 yuan, an increase of 29% over the previous year. The cumulative number of enterprise units was 1,223, and the accumulated product sales revenue for the year was 77,417,653. Thousand yuan, an increase of 25.89% over the same period of the previous year, the total accumulated profit reached 2,384,871 thousand. The per-capita sales rate of the whole industry was 488,266.94 yuan.

In the first half of 2006, the total industrial output value of all plastic film production and supply enterprises nationwide reached 43,959,811,000 yuan, an increase of 17.31% over the same period of the previous year. The cumulative number of enterprise units was 1,299, and the accumulated product sales revenue was 44,040,148 thousand. Yuan, an increase of 22.11% over the same period of the previous year, the total accumulated profit reached 1,213,127 thousand yuan. The per-capita sales rate of the whole industry is 889,069.85 yuan. Overall, the national plastic film production and supply companies are in good operating condition.

The production of plastic film in China accounts for about 20% of the total output of plastic products, and it is one of the categories in which the output of plastic products is growing rapidly. From the application field of China's plastic film (thickness of 0.06mm~0.26mm), the packaging industry is the largest, the most widely used and the most widely used. Its consumption accounts for about 2/3, followed by agriculture, which accounts for 30%. It is a functional film such as a microporous film, a shielding film, a geomembrane, and the like. In theory, almost all synthetic resins may form a film, but economically, commercial, and the largest amount is polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate. Resins such as ester (PET), polystyrene (PS), ethylene/vinyl acetate (EVA), and polyamide (PA). If a suitable plastic auxiliaries are added to the resin matrix, various functional films can be prepared. The production methods of the plastic film industry include calendering method and extrusion method, wherein the extrusion method is further divided into extrusion blown film, extrusion casting, extrusion drawing (also called secondary molding), etc. The most extensive, especially for the processing of polyolefin films, and the calendering method is mainly used for the production of some polyvinyl chloride films.

China's plastic film industry is in a period of vigorous development. It is reported that the demand for plastic film in China will increase by more than 9% every year. And with the emergence of new materials, new equipment and new processes, China's plastic film will be promoted towards a variety of products, specialization and multi-functional composite film.

With the development of China's economy and the adjustment of rural industrial structure, the market demand for plastic film in various industries in China is rising. It is predicted that the global plastic film and board market consumption in 2015 is expected to reach 50.7 million tons, of which the Asia Pacific region is expected to become the fastest growing regional market. China's plastic film industry is currently in a booming stage. The average annual growth rate of the market in 2001-2011 is over 18%, and it is expected to reach 350 billion yuan in 2012.
